After riding with the same trainer at a show barn in Oregon for over 20 years, finding the right trainer and program in Southern California was a little daunting. As soon as I met Jasmin and Manuel, I instantly knew that I would love riding here. They are two of the best horsemen I have ever encountered; their love for the horses and their immense dedication to their clients is evident through their incredibly detail oriented and customized programs.

After showing on the A circuit for many years as a junior, I wanted a trainer who could help me and my young green horse reach our potential and build confidence - but I also wanted a barn environment where I could make friends, spend time, and feel supported. JSS is that place. I have not only found my trainer for life, but I’ve also made lifelong friends and have found my “happy place”. Our recent move to a private facility, Fortuna Del Charro in RSF, has made the experience even better. The property is phenomenal and the horses thrive with the best care imaginable. Jasmin and Manuel have brought my green horse along with so much care and patience and he’s able to confidently reach his potential - as am I. In addition to working with my young horse, I’ve been privileged to half lease Tudor Style from Jasmin, who has been an absolute dream. He’s the fancy hunter I’ve always dreamed of, but still makes me a better rider everyday. Jasmin is so good at matching her clients with the RIGHT lease horses, or helping them find the perfect horse to buy. She’s about long term results and deeply cares about her client’s success and happiness.

If you’re looking for a hunter/jumper barn in the north San Diego area, I can not recommend JSS enough. It truly is a gem in this industry.
